myKaarma was looking for techs who can use video tools to show and tell customers about their vehicle’s needs.

The provider of communication and payment software for dealerships and their service departments announced the winners of its 2024 Tech Video Grand Prix-Fall Edition, a contest designed to celebrate the creativity, professionalism and customer communication skills of dealership technicians using myKaarma’s video tools provide service transparency.

“This contest is more than just recognizing exceptional technicians; it’s about celebrating the power of transparency and clear communication in building trust with customers,” myKaarma senior performance manager and contest chair Suzanne Rogers said. “By creating informative and engaging tech videos, these technicians are elevating the service experience for customers and boosting revenue for dealerships.”

myKaarma said the competition drew more than 300 entries from dealerships representing 15 OEM brands and showcased technicians’ best tech videos, demonstrating clear, professional communication with customers through visual inspections.

“The winning videos stood out for their “attention to detail and exceptional communication,” the company said. The best videos included techs who introduced themselves and thanked the customer by name; highlighted issues in visual ways such as using tools during measurements; explained the importance of repairs, prioritizing safety and budget-friendly advice; and demonstrated clear, confident and professional communication throughout the video.

“This contest highlights the critical role communication plays in building trust with our customers,” Austin Subaru general manager Cody Penna said, “and I couldn’t be more proud of Josh for being recognized as one of the best.
